# How to create an image URL

For interactive WhatsApp message templates, it's possible to include images in the header. The challenge is that these must be in a URL format.

This article describes how you can take a .jpg or .png file and convert it into a URL.

The easiest way is to host it on a cloud storage provider such as Google Drive, Dropbox or Cloudinary.

Steps (for Dropbox as an example):

1\. Upload the Image:

\> Log in to your Dropbox account.

\> Navigate to the folder where you want to store your image.

\> Upload the .jpg or .png file.

2\. Get Shareable Link:

\> Once uploaded, right-click on the image file and choose "Share" or "Copy link".

\> This link will usually take the user to a Dropbox interface.

3\. Modify Link for Direct Access (For Dropbox):

\> The provided Dropbox URL will end with ?dl=0. Change this to ?raw=1 to get a direct link to the image.

\> The URL will then look something like: <https://www.dropbox.com/s/randomstring/yourfile.jpg?raw=1> or <https://www.dropbox.com/s/randomstring/yourfile.png?raw=1>

Use the modified URL in the relevant fields in the WhatsApp message template. .

These methods apply similarly to both .jpg and .png files.&#x20;
